Where It Ends, Where It Begins

In the words of Xoyara Andrei, Amyrlin Seat of the White Tower ...

The time for the Last Battle finally came, and the Dragon Reborn somehow managed to unite many nations under his banner. The armies included those of the Seanchan, Andor, the Sea Folk, the Aiel, and many other soldiers that represented many of the nations of the world. The Black and White Towers were also represented, and they sent a great number of their channellers to fight the Shadow. As time for the battle drew close, the armies faced off against Shadowspawn, Dreadlords, Darkfriends, the Black Ajah and the Forsaken.

The Battle intensified once the first blows were exchanged, and the fighting lasted for nearly two weeks, with untold losses on both sides of the battlefield. After a great battle, the Dragon Reborn faced off with the Dark One in Shayol Ghul, and though no one knows what occured there, all say it was a long and bitter battle. After a day and night had passed, the armies of the Shadow all retreated suddenly, a sign that the Dark One had been defeated by the Dragon Reborn. The Dragon had indeed survived the battle, but was near the point of death from his wounds. After a surviving Sister(one of the few) Healed him, he was restored to health, but soon after the battle was over, he went into hiding and wasn't seen again. Rumors abound that he died somehow, but very few believe that, even now.

After the destruction of the world after the Battle, all the nations were in a state of utter chaos. All made claims to lands outside their boundaries, in an attempt to enlarge their nations, and this caused many problems. This madness went on for nearly ten years, but in secret, both the Towers had been working together to restore a measure of peace. After many, many hours of delegation and meeting with the rulers for each nation, peace was somehow obtained, and the attention was turned to rebuilding the world. All nations needed this, especially population-wise. The Seanchan were the worst affected of all the nations, with a greater amount of causalities than most of the nations combined. The Seanchan Empress had also been assassinated before the Last Battle, so they were without a ruler. A new Empress was raised shortly after this, however, and the Seanchan nation is mostly rebuilt, though there is still much work to be done.

Once the Aes Sedai and Asha'man returned from the battle, they found that the Black Tower had been completely destroyed, and the White Tower was in bad shape. The White Tower was soon repaired. Because of the cleansing of sai'din, the leaders of the Aes Sedai and Asha'man believed that they could indeed rebuild the Aes Sedai name of old and truly become Servants of All, no matter the gender or side of the Power they used. Having agreed to be in union with the female Aes Sedai, the Asha'man came to Tar Valon and settled into the White Tower, where they shed the name that had caused them so much grief in the past and took on the title of Aes Sedai.

Though all seems to be going well, and the nations are gradually rebuilding and the Tower is growing, there are still whispered rumours of the Shadow moving again. Indeed, there is a constant state of wariness among the Brothers and Sisters of the Tower, and there are those that can't be trusted among their numbers...
